TYT: Krispy Kreme UK Stops 'KKK Wednesdays'

"Krispy Kreme UK has apologized for a promotion it referred to as "KKK Wednesday," after a store in Hull, England, promoted the event on social media, prompting outcry.

"KKK" was the acronym for "Krispy Kreme Klub," an activities group meant to occupy kids in the United Kingdom this week while they're out of school on holiday, the Hull Daily Mail reported Tuesday. A store spokeswoman told the paper the promotion came from Krispy Kreme's head office, "so it has been advertised at all the outlets."

The unfortunate acronym shares its name with the Ku Klux Klan, an infamous white supremacist group in the United States."

The headquarters for Krispy Kreme is in North Carolina, not Britain. The bigots in North Carolina certainly know what KKK stands for and so do their US customers.

Why not rename the company KKKrispy KKKreme? No more hiding Klanboys. KKKome out in the open and KKKall it like you see it.

PS. My favorite is the KKKruller, but I also like the KKKrunch KKKake also.

5. Krispy Kreme donuts make me physically ill. I ate them when I was a youngster

in Georgia. We had to sell boxes of them to raise money for various activities. Back then, they didn't make me sick, but if I eat one now, I will taste it for the rest of the day. I don't what kind of grease they use to cook them, but it's probably a lethal mix of something containing peanut oil.

When Elizabeth Dole was running for the senate in NC, there was a newspaper article that listed comparisons of the qualifications of the candidate. Elizabeth Dole said that her favorite dessert was a warm Krispy Kreme donut with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. For some reason, that stuck in my mind.
