TYT: Congress FINALLY Counts After Centuries Of Nothing [Historic Announcement]

A Constitutional Convention to get money out of politics is now even more a reality than ever thanks to the determined efforts of Dan Marks, a frustrated citizen who turned his dismay into action. He noticed Congress wasn't doing its Constitutionally-mandated job of counting requests for constitutional conventions. Armed with being on the right side of Justice and with support from Wolf Pac, Dan forced Congress to begin counting.

The first request they counted? Wolf Pac's request for a Constitutional Convention to remove the corrupting influence of money from politics. This marks yet another historic victory on the path to restoring democracy to our Democracy.

The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) breaks it down.

Be vary careful of what you wish for TYT. The first Constitutional Convention threw out the Articles of Confederation, and gave us the Constitution. Given that any number of the proposed changes would get rid of large portions of our Bill of Rights. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like the results.

Article V allows for a convention of the states to propose amendments, and the individual state resolutions are only counted together if they cite a specific common purpose. The Wolf-Pac resolution is focused on the issue of money in politics.
