...because the average wage differential between the US and China is more than the cost of shipping on most manufactured goods. All the profit to a tiny minority of course.

The video is entirely logical; thus, most Americans won't understand it. Once long ago, one of my classes took the cost of a war machine, the M1 Abrams tank, and had to find ways to use the money to help as many people as possible. Some parents complained to the principal, characterizing the project and me as some kind of "'communist."
