Did that girl think that she was delivering some kind of gotcha? Did she expect the professor to smack his head and cry that he never thought of that? Does a student in a biology class not know what a scientific theory is? Was she mad because she got smacked down so easily?

If I'm taking a test and I don't know an answer -- and I use my cell phone to text a friend who gives me the answer, that's considered cheating, right?

But what if I don't know the answer and I pray and God gives me the answer. Why isn't that cheating too? In both cases, you're getting an answer you didn't know from someone else.

Is that creationsim is just a guess. Ancient people looked around and asked, "How the heck did this happen?" Then, they took a guess, "Well, it must have been some big, invisible guy who waved his little finger and boom. Yeah, that's the ticket. That's how it happened." And they have no more proof of it than that. Just a guess -- and a pretty bizarre one too.

Example: On Day 1, he creates light. But he doesn't create the stars until Day 4. Where did the light come from on Day 1? Did he have a lamp? Coleman lantern? WTF?

posited that the reason that creationists have such weak and misinformed aguments is that they are given those arguments by other creationists. Therefore the arguments are at a base, uninformed and incorrect. The misuse of the word "theory" as a case in point.

If the creationists would open their minds (always a problem when religion is involved), they could learn so much more.

Some look for the signature of God to be written in mile high letters across the heavens, but it is more likeley to be found in the elegance of the dance of subatomic particles. The concept of what God is may even be found to be far different than an "Old White Guy in a Robe in the Sky". But we're delving into Philosophy now, time to leave.
