bob asked Frank to produce an album for him in the early 80's, which never materialized.

Adrian Belew does a mean Bob Dylan on "Flakes". From the album and movie "Baby Snakes".

Johnny was to perform Ring of Fire with Frank during the 1988 Zappa Tour in Europe, but got sick. Mike Kenneally sang in Johnny's place.

Thought my DU buds needed to know that.

Almost enough for a full length release. I can't imagine why someone didn't fill it out with a couple of solo numbers and actually realism the damn thing. No question it would sell.

I have clips of those songs saved somewhere, and they're great. On one of them, Johnny Cash gets Bob Dylan to yodel. (How many people could have pulled that off?) The third time around, Johnny prompts Bob to yodel again and he says "I don't want to do that any more." Hahahahahahaha.
