(5,169 posts)As well, let's take away the weapons that they have already captured or purchased. No ground troops, but bomb these sadistic assholes until there are no more Daesh humvees or artillery left.
Then, if they still want weapons, and they certainly will, they will be stuck buying or capturing Russian and/or Chinese stuff, NOT ours.

The arms industry seems to be operating a lot like the "law of commons", in other words, part of the issue is the competition factor (someone will provide weapons, might as well be us).
Something happened and we rarely use diplomatic options on this kind of thing. Sit down at a table, it may take hard work, but create some agreements around middle east weapons sales.
