Ted Cruz has always reminded me of Mr. Haney, the slick, snake-oil salesman from Green Acres. I always thought it was just me, and that, perhaps I should see a shrink about it. But today I stumbled upon this on Youtube. Apparently somebody else thinks so, too.

I guess this clip could be an allegory for Ted Cruz giving up his wifes platinum-plated healthcare insurance from Goldman Sachs in favor of his platinum-plated, taxpayer funded healthplan for Congress?

But as a longtime fan of Green Acres, I have to disagree with the idea that Mr. Haney was "slick." Like Cruz, he fancied himself as "slick," but was comically obvious in his bullshit.
