Related: About this forumBernie Speaks at La Raza on: Racism, Immigration Rights, Wall St., Unemployment, Education and More
including the Global Economy, Health Care for ALL, Citizens' United and Voter Suppression. It was a "Barn Burner Speech" with Much Enthusiastic Applause ....and, reminds me of Obama's Passion in 2007 that spoke to issues that we Democrats care about deeply... but Bernie takes it FURTHER! If we could Elect Bernie we might finally fulfill what we Dems have been working on for years against the Reagan/Bushes and Wall Street/ Neo-Lib Supremacy.
He Builds on Obama's Rhetoric and Promises of His Vision for America (Taking it Steps Further).
Maybe the "Third Time" we Elect a Democratic Candidate we can finally fulfill "OUR DREAM" of what America "Should Be. "Learning from our Mistakes," recognizing what we Dems are Up Against, while we work diligently on moving forward Our Vision of what we Hope & Dream America can be going forward..
It is Truly an Inspiring Speech!

(41,170 posts)the 5 min. introduction Janet Murguia, La Raza Pres./CEO gave Bernie who's seen waiting on the side of the room near the crowd. Her remarks on Bernie's political and immigrant background, his work with immigration issues like the Dream Act and Bernie's emphasis on income inequality, jobs and economics were esp. important she said since so many Hispanics lost homes and wealth from the mortgage/housing 2008 Financial Crisis. When Bernie walked up to the stage podium it was good to see people applaud and cheer. (29 mins.)
