Frontline - Escaping ISIS : women & children and their escape from slavery/abuse

Escaping ISIS
Using undercover footage, FRONTLINE presents the gripping, first-hand accounts of women who escaped the brutal reign of ISIS.

Excellent film, painfully intimate and real accounts. Some local men put their lives on
the line to secure the escape of whole family groups, women and children from the
hands of ISIS. Watch entire film online here:

Should be a powerful story -- Frontline is such a national treasure for always peeling back the layers of things others don't dare even discuss.

Harrowing but also uplifting. In the midst of such depravity and evilness people like this risk their lives to rescue these women and children from fates almost worse than death. This doc should be seen by the Muslim world too.

IMO there has to be much more effort from the Muslim world to commit troops, and also to much more forcefully publicly condemn ISIS as a godless gang of depraved thugs. Watching the video of some of the ISIS soldiers laugh about how many girl slaves they will buy, even teasing a cohort that looks like a young teenager about getting his own slave was appalling. You would think that true Muslims would be embarrassed and outraged enough to demand more action from their own governments.

Western nations should not be needed to send any kind of ground troops. Saudi Arabia alone has 500,000 troops to ISIS's 20,000. But then, SA is a Sunni nation, the same sect, albeit more extreme, as ISIS who are fighting the Shia dominated Iraqi government. If Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and some of the smaller Muslim nations actually worked together they could rid the world of these assholes if they wanted to. But I think some are dragging their feet for political purposes. Better the US, Canada, and other western nations take the blowback and take them on.
