2. Apalling that he has been in prison this long

There is no way that the evidence ever reached the threshold of guilty in the first place. The court case was a sham.

But because there is no upside politically for any President to pardon him, he will remain there. Bill Clinton never did. Obama is no different.

4. I signed the petion for clemency

at the beginining of the Obama administration,I will again,but I doubt it will do any good.

5. Unfortunately Peltier was falsely convicted of killing a federal law enforcement officer.

Obama, or any President for that matter, could never grant clemency because it involved the death of a law enforcement officer. Peltier can only hope new evidence comes forth which would call for a new trial.
