(1,620 posts)Megyn Kelly and Fox News have no one else to blame but themselves for the monster they helped to create - not Trump, but a paranoid and hateful group of Americans Fox News is largely responsible for. And Trump is tapping into that hate and paranoia, and the fake news network has no clue how to take him down.

(21,768 posts)They knew full well that the arrogant Trump would over react when challenged by a woman (Kelly). Fox bragged of their preparation of debate questions, with Sammon and the "journalist" moderators meeting daily for hours.
The ideal result would be Trump exploding on stage. What they got instead was Trump exploding in the aftermath, tweeting through the night insults directed at Kelly.
Trump finally walked into the trap the following day on CNN. He implied that Kelly's question was inspired by her menstrual cycle, stating "she was bleeding from the...whatever".
Outsider candidate disgraced, insider establishment candidates enhanced. Can you say "Mission Accomplished"?
I would be surprised if Rove did not also have a hand in this.
