Chinese cyclist averts disaster with some lightning fast reactions

This video doing the rounds on the Internet is being billed as the ‘world’s worst U-turn’. Perhaps not quite true. Chinese police believe the driver’s accelerator jammed, forcing the dangerous maneuver.

What really stood out for us was the cyclist’s impressive escape. As the car veers left he shows lightning-fast reactions, lifting his left leg as the car smashes into his bike, hard enough to detach the front wheel. The cyclist doesn’t even lose his footing. Well played sir!

I watched the video several times, and I still can't see how he remained on his feet.

I think a better way of saying it would have been that he remained stationary on his right leg, allowing the bike to be swept away by the vehicle.
