I really dislike "pop" culture since it is just a scheme for marketing.

However, having passed through the juvenile phase myself in the 60's I can somewhat understand infatuation. But I was always insulted by media trying to tell me what I should like, how I should act. Now, just a happy codger that no marketing types want to market to.

I watched it since it was recommended and enjoyed it. Maybe a bit like Devo which is a fave of one of my email groups.

Having intelligent friends and children does let me get a glimpse of the wider world.

Even when I enjoy a movie, I do try to recognize and be cognizant of the potential of it being propaganda at some level, I believe that makes it easier to avoid being brainwashed.

Having said that, there some good movies out there.
