Contributing to deforestation, and extinction of endangered tigers and orangutans

How much do you love Starbucks?

Your Starbucks coffee break is likely to be contributing to deforestation, and extinction of endangered tigers and orangutans. That’s because Starbucks is a purveyor of environment-wrecking palm oil in its tasty snacks.

Starbucks deserves to be put to task for this, which is why we made a (pretty cool!) video.

Click here to watch the video and then share it with your friends.

Thanks for all that you do,
Kaytee, Hanna, Fatah, Nicole, and the team at SumOfUs.org

P.S. Websites like Facebook and YouTube let people promote videos to users who are likely to be interested -- but it costs money. Can you chip in a few dollars to help us pay for ads to make sure more people hear about deforestation? https://action.sumofus.org/a/support-palm-oil-campaigning/?akid=12692.17409._q7Cwi&rd=1&t=3

It's an epidemic that most parts of our society contributes to it. Starbucks is a liberal company so maybe once this gets out they will try another way to get the oil needed. I rarely go to Starbucks but when I do it is a vanilla bean frappicino.

me to dive into one ever so often since I'm on the road a bunch and can't make it home or to the office. Never went into one prior to this job & still don't understand the draw. I do partake in purchasing because I appreciate their offering the jobs they do and I am using their internet to get the work out.

Some of them take real issue when I just want to reuse my old cup for refills to save on producing more trash and finally just had to purchase a reusable *Glass* cup because I got tired of explaining myself.

Just another Social Club (like church) for a lot of people I suppose. I'd rather not go there myself, but I do like being employed. And in that respect am glad they are too.
