FoxNews Throws Kim Davis to the Lions - Her Lawyer's Opinion 'Ridiculously Stupid'

“When she took the job she swore to uphold the law,” FoxNews host Gregg Jarrett said. “We rely on government officials to do that. They can’t just pick and choose what laws they like, which ones they don’t."

When, in a press conference, Kim Davis' lawyers questioned whether the Supreme Court of the United States even had any authority in the matter, this was just too much for the FoxNews panel...

“Whether the Supreme Court has constitutional authority???" Jarrett responded, shocked. “Article III Section 2 of the Constitution gives the Supreme Court constitutional authority to decide constitutional issues. Was that a stunningly obtuse statement by her attorney?”

“That’s a very polite way of putting it..." noted Liko, who then went on to say how 'ridiculously stupid' the statement even was.

"The Supreme Court does just that, and they determine constitutionality issues, they resolve these kinds of disputes."

(*Host Gregg Jarrett, Mat Staver and Sharon Liko discussion)

_________

Sounds like the beginning of the end for the Kim Davis 15 minutes of orange-jumpsuit fame. When you lose your FoxNewsies this dramatically, you are heading for the end of your run.

I cannot think of a single statement that I disagree with.

Here's the deal. If Fox is throwing Kim Davis under the bus, what does she have left?

That's right. Mike Hucklebuck, Jindal, Jerry Falwell -- Oopsy! He's dead. Maybe idiot Liberty U lawyer Mat Staver survives. However one suspects that his legal arguments are deader than Jerry Falwell, of whom Christopher Hitchens said, "If they had given him an enema he could have been buried in a matchbox."

* She's a hopeless case- We've already lost the war on gay marriage. Why not use her to build a little credibility (It's in the dictionary)
* She's dumpy looking, and people don't like her. She would be a hard sell to the knuckle draggers. It is doubtful there is enough to gain here to justify the necessary commitment of resources and air time.
* She's a public servant- We're against public servants other than police and the military, hit it from that angle and we're being consistent (Also in the dictionary)
* Attacking her as a public servant doesn't conflict with our position that private enterprise should be allowed to discriminate.
* It's a foundation on which to justify our righteous indignation whenever we tell Obama to "follow the Constitution".
* Don't forget- She's also a Democrat.

Win-Win

I think the Foxbots may have actually thought this one through.
