Related: About this forumTYT: Almost Half Of Republicans Support A Military Coup
New poll out from YouGov that is even more concerning than some of the other crazy polls weve covered recently. How many people in this country would be in favor of a military coup? The answer may surprise you Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"29% of Americans could imagine a situation in which they would support the military seizing control of the federal government, while 41% could not imagine such a situation.
Republicans (43%) are more than twice as likely as Democrats (20%) to say that they could conceive of a situation in which they would support a military coup in the United States. Independents tend to say that they could not (38%) rather than could (29%) imagine supporting a coup.*

that rense dot com link was quite provocative. The author seemed a bit weird in his bio.

(23,421 posts)2. I don't think supporing a military coup is the same as imagining a scenario in which one would.
I can imagine a situation in which the military might be the only state institution that maintained its organizational integrity; for instance, after some major disaster or war occurred. Being able to "conceive" of a scenario is very different assessing actual, present time conditions. I don't think this survey provides a very useful metric.

They have visions of dragging Pelosi in front of a firing squad.

taxpayers' hard -earned money.
Republicans can't run a good economy when it's handed to them on a plate.
Wall St. and Big Banks wouldn't like that one bit.
