1. SF now has Africanized honey bees?

That stinks. I guess that's another consequence of global warming I hadn't thought of.

On edit: From a little Googling, it appears that SF has always been on the edge of a zone habitable by Africanized honey bees (or AHBs); it's just taken a while for the bees to reach that spot. So while global warming may eventually expand the AHB's zones of habitability, that doesn't appear to be the case here.

It still sucks that those little guys have made it to San Francisco. I have a minor bee phobia and the thought of being chased a quarter mile or more.... ~shudder~.
