There was another post here on DU with a graphic that stated this quite well..

I don't have the link but it essentially destroyed the "give everyone a gun" foolishness by saying we are all not John Waynes/heros waiting for our close-up to stand up and stop a crazied gunman with our own gun.

How many would have the courage to fire back? How many would freeze up in the moment? How many would fumble with the gun and get shot themselves, or shoot someone besides the gunman? In a dark movie theater with everyone armed how many are going to blast each other because they mistook them for the gunman?

It's crazy. Just the thought of everyone being armed scares the shit out of me.

Go Trump and FOX, you just solved our gun problem. Give everybody one .
