Kentucky’s New Tea Party Governor: Say Goodbye To Healthcare

Kentucky has just elected a right-wing extremist for the governorship. Matt Bevin is outspoken against the Affordable Care Act and the accompanying Medicaid expansion in his state. He has vowed to dismantle it as governor.

Congratulations Kentucky, you’re turning your state into a tea party, hell hole.

Unfortunately it won't be known before 2016 even if changed tomorrow. It needs time to show a mess or success. Obviously it will be a mess. ACA is the most successful program in our countries history and some idiot wants to destroy it. Just great.....

3. When did he say he would replace it?

I only heard him once, but I thought he just talked about eliminating Obama care, no mention of a replacement.

When I heard about his election all I could think of was the people from Ky. when asked what they think of Obamacare, they always replied "I HATE IT". but when asked about Kynect THEY LOVED IT! Sure sounded like they were too dumb to admit they were both the same!

I can't wait to hear what they say when life goes back to the way it was.

Do you not think, if there was a speculation of voter fraud, the losing candidate would ask and require a recount......I think the fact is that this guy hit the right people to put him in. They are the rich, white Mitch McConnell supporting people, who most likely have health insurance, jobs, living well or beyond well and the poor, Obamacare using people didnt get out too vote. I also believe once the state starts to fall into wage and tax hell, this guy will not be a 2 term governor.

8. Not necessarily. How do you recount if there are no paper ballots?

I don't know how Kentucky runs their elections. However, from what I understand Democrats down ballot won. Are you suggesting that Democrats showed up to vote for Democrats down ballot but left without voting for a Democrat for Governor?

It doesn't make sense.

no, I am not aware of Kentucky's voting practices. I don't know if paper ballots were used or not, but I would suspect there must be an appeal process...maybe not....

culture says he should have lost.

But there appears to be, intentionally, no way to prove the results?

Se we just pretend one of the 50 states just didn't suffer a coup and go on about our biz?

Millions of people are going to see tragedy for this, and voted against it.
