Related: About this forumTYT: Ben Carson Thinks China Is Invading Syria And ISIS Is Easy
Ben Carsons lack of knowledge or even interest in foreign policy is finally becoming an issue in this campaign. This is due to some comments he made during the last debate. Namely that China was moving into Syria, and that handling ISIS is easy. Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola (Think Tank), Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), and Elliot Hill (The Lip TV), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"During the Republican presidential debate Tuesday night, neurosurgeon Ben Carson, whos running neck-and-neck with businessman Donald Trump, made a curious claim. Chinese forces, he said, were in Syria and involved in the civil war there. A day later, Armstrong Williams, a Carson adviser, backed his candidate up. And on Thursday, the White House entered the fray.
I have not seen any evidence of Chinese military involvement in Syria, National Security Adviser Susan Rice told reporters at the White House Thursday.
Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, in response to a follow-up question, then doubled-down on Rices assertion, saying, Its worth stepping back and noting China makes it a practice to not get extended into military conflicts in the Middle East. Their policy over many years and decades has been to not be overextended in military exercises.*

(179 posts)The problem is, neither of these guys are serious candidates, which isn't a problem I suppose. However, the candidacy of Ted Cruz is a very serious problem. I know people don't see it now, but there's an actual scenario in which I could see that guy becoming president, and just thinking about that sends chills up my spine.

(4,695 posts)woman and child that is in the area, to wipe off the face of the the Earth the owners or users of Iraqi energy fields, Islam, and Baalism. Carson says he was taught by Angels. Please refer to the third link below.
Carson is a Charismatic Dominionist. He believes that he has the gift to prophecy, interrupting dreams, given to him by God and, Speaking in Tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit. (Jesus said he was leaving mankind the Holy Spirit until his return to rapture His Church.) IMO, it is Carson's goal to restore the Old Testament, City of David, according to his perceived ability to pour out a, latter rain, of prophecies, at the End Times. Charismatics believe that they are to set up the New City of David; as Christ will not return to do it or rule over the Earth. They are excavating the old one which lies under the Dome in present day Jerusalem in getting ready to rule the Seven Mountains as a part of the Merchant Church; Revelations 18. Evangelical Christians believe that Christ will have a Second Coming and will set up His Kingdom to a 1000 year reign.

snip (Paul was the Apostle of Christ in the New Testament)
The reason Paul wrote this scripture to the Colossian church was that it was being infiltrated with Gnostic teachings. The Gnostics valued what they experienced and what they learned from angels over Holy Scripture. (Is any of this sounding familiar?) These Gnostics claimed they believed in scripture but did not depend on it as their source!

My comment:
There is a Plan to combine church and state by the Charismatic theologists. Separation and Balance of Powers are a cornerstone of the US government began by our forefathers to get away from a merchant religion as a government.

(179 posts)Carson's polling well but only because there are so many candidates in the field people aren't under the microscope yet. Eventually, the race narrows down, and people start actually reading quotes. I'm not even convinced he actually wants to be president (like Trump, actually).
Ted Cruz, on the other hand, has a track record of succeeding in campaigns. He can compete. He can speak. And he's the sorta guy who can push emotional buttons that occasionally speak to a lot of people, aside from your religious nutters. He's also running an extremely disciplined campaign. One of the few who's wildly attacking the opposition, but waiting to find out whom to attack first.
Ever wondered what it would be like to have Dick Cheney and John Ashcroft combined into one man and acting as president? That's Ted Cruz. I get the feeling, too, that with attacks like these recent ones in Paris, particularly if there were a domestic like the Boston attack in 2013, a guy like Cruz would exploit that to no end. And unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who'd take his bait. Scary stuff.
