History is replete with examples of religiously motivated atrocities and atrocities given cover by religions, but that is a stale argument that sways no one and is reduced to the level of preaching to the metaphorical choir.

Humanity cannot advance or find common solutions to human problems until the scourge of organized religion and all of its attendant baggage is purged from the public square and politics of nations. Believe whatever you want so long as it is applied only to yourself. Once you step outside and interact with the body politic or on the world stage, treat your religion like a penis. Be proud of it. Love it. Even show it off to consenting, of-age adults if you wish...but keep it to yourself!
