(40,416 posts)Plus, the Enterprise had Montgomery Scott, and the Millenium Falcon only had a Yeti clone, or a dude wearing a shag carpet, as the engineer, second officer -- actually the only other crew member.
Tyson gets it right. Star Wars is a fantasy; Star Trek is something else entirely.
Plus, then there's George Lucas fucking things all up. Eewoks, Jar-Jar, and never ending other future kiddy toy product placements. Even during the second movie there was ominous evidence that the products would trump any story line. Plus, once Return of the Jedi was released, all fears of that were confirmed.
That is why Star Wars so utterly sucks as an enterprise and why the starship Enterprise triumphs over anything in Lucas's sleazy marketing program entitled Star Wars.
I am not planning on seeing the new Star Wars, even though I highly suspect that Luke Skywalker gives into the dark side in it.

(7,300 posts)I only got it right because I love good SciFi and the best is based on real science. As a scientist I figured he would agree so it was easy to guess the Enterprise because it IS the most real fake.

All kidding aside:
I agree with the Good Doctor: The Enterprise. Not necessarily because it's more real or whatever; just because it would have so much better accomodations.
Who wouldn't like to have their own custom holodeck program?
