David Brock of Correct The Record recently said that this ad shows that "Black Lives don't matter much to Bernie Sanders."
Really?

(50,986 posts)Mr. Brock reveals his disconnectedness with what lost Hillary the nomination the first time.
He's clearly assisting her in losing it this time, too.
As for racism, how 'bout that Hillary Clinton campaign in South Carolina in 2008? Someone needs to ask Mr. Brock for his thoughts on that.

(50,986 posts)throwing his feces around the current campaign.
Has he been asked to bring Hillary's main opponent down? Evidently he has. And evidently that's just fine with him.
I picture her paying him in coins, tossing them out into the alley, and Brock, on all fours, licking them up as they're tossed.

(13,297 posts)These pics below are from the ad... I see a refreshing glimpse into a campaign that is not going to launch attacks, but inspire anew.
In a 60 second targeted market ad, that is a pretty big scope of variety, given that if this were an ad directed at Mississippi, or Texas, or New Mexico, it's flavor would shift accordingly. I see prominent images of Hispanic, Middle-eastern, European, African American, Asian American, gay, straight, young, old, women, men, urban, rural, low-tech, hi-tech, skinny, wide, and screen loads of every shade of America in between.

(57,936 posts)There are a lot of cows and chickens in Iowa. A lot of them.
Lots of corn too.
Have you ever been there? If not, I recommend Pella, Iowa. And Red Rock recreation center near it. Then of course there are the towns on the Mississippi.
It's a beautiful state. Lots of Holsteins. Lots and lots. Lots of country roads and lakes.
Clean air.
You should go if you have never been there.

As a black woman, I'm sensitive to this topic of accurate representation of the country but this ad in particular, despite the song title...
is ultimately an ad for Iowa (let's be honest). While I am certain there are black people in Iowa, I can let this one slide. It's not a battle worth choosing, imo.
