One of my bosses told me the local government tore down an old apartment building for a new shopping center(which was down the street from where I was working). There were seniors in there with no family and no place to go. They fought to stay but jumped out the window when the wrecking ball equipment showed up. Tragic but true. And these were 10-12 story buildings.
