No way Varney is paying 60% in taxes. The highest federal rate only averages out to about 39% and I don' know of any state that takes 21%. Even if 'on paper' his rate is between 45% and 50% including state, ssi, etc. we know damn well that nobody worth $10,000,000 pays the full rate that's what tax accountants are for.

And yeah, that 60% tax rate is pretty fishy. The highest income tax rate (fed) is 39.6, so he's adding federal to state and all the taxes on his income prior to taxable net income.

And even then, with that kind of money, his tax accountants should be able to drastically lower his "taxable income", so he's not even being honest about that...he's making it sound like his whole income is taxed at 60%, when it's not. He lives in NJ, and state taxes in 2015 were almost 9%. He might also be rolling in all his property taxes too.

You can tell by his nasty attitude, as long as he's got his, he could give a shit about poor people.
