Social spending was not the culprit. It was Bushco and GOP cronies who set Europe up with bad paper. In my view the GOP helped in the take down. Look at how much they criticized "socialist" Europe with their safety net, strong unions and job protections. The RW conspiracy if international and not just happening in the US.

The GOP is using our debt crisis to shut down the US as a decent place to live unless you are in the 1 %. And sad the dumbsh--s who kept Walker in power in Wisconsin validated austerity and giveaways to the rich.
