Of course there are exceptions but not from the leadership in either the house or the senate
Ventura may be exactly as you paint him, however, the Democratic party is where it is today because of what he is saying
Bill Clinton and many Democrats gladly jumped on board when reagan started to get rid of regulation, allow media monopolies, you can even hear some of them only too willing to compromise away Social Security and Medicare, when the actual solution is so simple, yet no one states it. Get us out of the trillion dollar wars, and put the money into America, instead of oils companies, and certain corporations

(27,630 posts)I like Jesse Ventura. Too bad we have to sit through that insufferable Piers Morgan, though.

(1,939 posts)but that doesn't immediately disqualify every word. I'm not a libertarian myself. In fact I'm probably 180 degrees from it but if you don't see a certain amount of truthfulness at how the parties are at the same trough then we are a long way away from agreement. This is how you vote for hope and change and they bring you out more of the four year old left overs. I'm not saying I feel the two parties are identical but when one stands for business as usual and the other is just bats**t crazy what choice do you really have? How do you ever pressure your party to do the right thing?
