Obama Endorses Wasserman Schultz, Saying “Up Yours” To True Progressives

President Obama has endorsed the pro-corporate head of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, in her primary bid to retain her seat, a move that is in direct conflict with the desires of the base progressives of the Democratic Party. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

I've got to say, I disagree with this guy's analysis on pretty much every level. Obama's not going to reject his choice. And DWS isn't in the "steep climb" that this guy avers. This is one of those cases where the bias of the presenter is so apparent that it makes the reportage pretty much useless.

are stuck with a two party political system, the idea that a status quo majority
of either party can simply ignore or dismiss a significant minority is exactly
what is about to shake the windows and rattle the walls of both parties.
Brace yourself.

I've been a democrat for 50 years. You are definitely in for a rude awakening. Even if establishment corruption steals this nomination for your candidate, the handwriting is on that shaking wall. Time is running out for you "New Democrats" because the old ones are returning, and most of them are young. I'll celebrate with beer and pretzels. Time is not on your side. Bye, bye.

People have been predicting the demise of the Democratic Party for millennia, and we're still here, even in spite of all the attempts by the Johnny Come Lately(s). If anyone were ever concerned about the nonsense you're talking, all one has to do is take a look at the demise of Occupy. "Movements" & "Revolutions" powered by "the youth" always end up in the same place, that's the reason the Green Party never took off.

She has been a strong advocate for the state of Florida, Pres Obama, the middle-class and the poor. Schultz's critics dont like her because she wont bend the rules for Sanders.
