Sooooo interesting to see the early polls and the direction things were heading. Even when probably most of the world wasn't noticing, Ed Schultz was. My guess is Ed got the boot after being the only host pushing TPP daily when it was reported Comcast was at meeting with the administration trying to push it forward.
Seems like the ones who know what's going on are a threat to the ones that want to keep their system rigged.
The majority of Congress is being kept in the dark as to the substance of the TPP negotiations, while representatives of U.S. corporations like Halliburton, Chevron, PHRMA, Comcast, and the Motion Picture Association of America are being consulted and made privy to details of the agreement, said Wyden. The senators legislation would require the United States Trade Representative office to provide documents related to trade negotiations to members of Congress and their staff upon request.

(4,280 posts)You're right, and I remember when Ed was talking about the TPP. This smells. I'll have to follow Wyden and find out how his proposed legislation is received. And thank you, again.
a reference on who was in on the consultations for TPP from the beginnings, would definitely like to know what ended up happening and will do a little hunting myself

Activists in Blimp, RV Target Sen. Ron Wyden Over Trade Deal -- Oregon Democrat, generally in sync with partys liberal wing, is chased around Portland by campaigners against Trans-Pacific Partnership; hes hearing our message. When Sen. Ron Wyden goes home to Oregon, he faces an unusual entourage: activists manning a blimp and a recreational vehicle who are set on pressuring the senator to say no to a trade deal. Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, who has been taking heat from fellow Democrats for cutting a deal with Republicans on international trade legislation, on Tuesday stuck with his party in casting a crucial vote that blocked the measure from consideration by the full Senate. (may 2015)
wondering if the transparency thing was left by the wayside for now, or is still being simmered
