IMHO, I always thought Liberal and Progressive were two different things that usually coexisted.

I thought the two titles dealt with different issues Liberal being more social, as in supporting Marriage Equality, Abortion rights etc, while Progressive was more economic. As in supporting FDR, Sanders style economic policies.

got that one is proactive while the other merely supports. all of the issues are tied to one another - economic and social justice issues are webbed to one another.
