3. You may not think so but to most on DU it is obvious that the

best two candidates this election cycle are both running as Democrats. This guarantees that only one of the best two will make it to the general election. Other than your wish for a miraculous write-in winner, and more possibly because of write-ins, this increases the odds that a poorer candidate can win the general election.

This year especially we would have a very good chance for two Democrats being in the general election. That's called a Win Win situation without even considering the coattails.
