(60 posts)She uses Obama as a shield to cover up for her incompetency and to score brownie points with the African
American community to vote for her. How low can she go.

(17,205 posts)Grammar is science and rhetoric is art. And as grammar continues to fall into oblivion, rhetoric becomes more and more important. Hence the great free-verse poet Sarah Palin: https://newrepublic.com/article/128074/sarah-palin-walt-whitman-wasilla
And, of course, Donald Trump.
And lest you think this is a GOP disease, how many posts have you seen at DU praising Barack Obama for giving good speech?

(55,981 posts)no real meaning. "I will strongly support some stuff that has a chance of helping some living in poverty."
I wouldn't call what Trump does as rhetoric. As you said, rhetoric is an art form. I call what he does, "Blathering".

(17,205 posts)But the end of rhetoric is to inspire, and Mr Trump does inspire. So he must be considered an effective rhetorician, even if his style is not so beautiful as Mrs Palin's.

No matter what he says, Obama's release and declassification of the intelligence briefing that makes it clear that those who voted for the Iraq War Resolution either failed to read the underlying intelligence or voted out of callous cynicism tells us who to vote for.
And that who to vote for his BERNIE.
He read the underlying intelligence.
Hillary either did not or cynically voted for a popular resolution that resulted in the deaths of many, many young Americans and the killing and maiming of many, many, many more innocent Iraqis and then, on top of that, chaos in the Middle East.
Who do you vote for?
For me it is clear. I'm voting for Bernie, who has proved his good judgment and the thoroughness of his research over and over.
Feel the Bern!

For me, the number of times Secretary Clinton mentioned President Obama's name doesn't pass the "so what?" test.
