They hate the grassroots. They ignore us when we pour in the streets to protest a war. In Latin America US policy has been to despise the populist left and prefer oppressive authoritarians, to prevent democracy from breaking out. They build systems and a narrative to block the influence of ordinary people over the political process.

Bernie is a rare bird with enough years in congress acting honorably to be credible as a candidate. And TPTB are surprised at his appeal. Surprised, and concerned.

By Mid April the electorate has a pretty good idea who the candidates are and mid April polling matches up with the final results 2/3rds of the time.

They would rather see a Republican in office and protect the status quo than risk the change Bernie is fighting for.

When you're in the 1% there is no party difference, only unity among the one true motivator, money.

Sanders is a fantasy candidate. Most Americans know nothing about him and can project the kindly old man image on him. He's made great strides and seems authentic. And A lot of people hate Hillary or Trump about equally.

But these polls mean nothing. And anyone educated in politics or social science knows that.

GOP would love to face Sanders. They won't touch him now because he is their wet dream of a chance to win this thing. Wait for the ads where they morph him into Stalin and Che Guevara.

America is not Brooklyn.

from that campaign have popped up in this one, e.g., attempts at interfering with NC caucus results and the MO primary results.

This is the first campaign that I remember - and I go back at least as far as you - where such things have happened in Dem primaries rather than as GOPer tactics in the GE.

O'Reilly isn't "giving credit" to sanders. not at all. he's scoffing in disbelief! This is incomprehensible! This is outraged! you, the viewer, should be as flabbergasted and outraged as he is, for surely this is a sign of the end times, a Socialist Jew polling higher than any reoublicans, it's, it's, it's UNBELIEVABLE, surely America, good god-fearing America is doomed, and this all proves that those other Americans, those lesser Americans, are all freeloaders, unlike you, the proud, self-made FOX news viewer!

Hell yeah FOX talks about it. their MO is to shit-stir, get their audience worked up into a froth about everything from politics to Easter candy. it's a fucking psycho network, but their practice doesn't lend well to keeping things "under wraps." Everything needs to be exposed (and spun like an industrial dryer) Currently this even includes negative stories about Republicans, in order to keep the Republican Primary feeding frenzy hot and bloody, for the sake of ratings.

because Bernie would bust up the media oligarchy and take away huge election money from their network when we fight and win Publicly Funded Elections.

Add to that how it demonstrates that despite their fingers on the scales, all of the Super PAC money etc., and he still keeps getting more popular.

Lastly, how out of touch they really are with regular Americans due to their bubble! There are a lot of things mixed in this, not the least of which is what you said, they want to fire up their base, rally the troops etc!

Those 2 million votes are Democratic votes. No Democrat or Republican can win a national election without Independent voters, who are the majority of voters. What happens in an election where Democrats pick the candidate but the independents don't like that candidate? That is why Bernie does better in national polls than Hillary does. You can only wish that only Democratic votes counted.

Bernie IS our stronger candidate, the one more likely to win in November.

You can't just be hoping, "Well, Hillary can beat Trump, even if she can't beat Kasich, and may even lose to Cruz." TRUMP MIGHT NOT BE THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE! If he doesn't win on the first ballot in Cleveland, delegates are largely free afterwards to do as they wish, and Trump's own delegates, made up of Republican stalwarts, easily could abandon him. EVEN TRUMP KNOWS THIS. No, the Republican nominee could certainly wind up being Cruz. How well would Hillary do in debates against Cruz?

Bernie is our safest candidate.

How many posts have we suffered through where Hillary supporters "can't believe the polls" "polls are meaningless at this stage" "Bernie hasn't been vetted" "he is a fantasy candidate"?

Here is the sad, sad truth. Hillary is probably going to get the nomination. It's not a lock, but the forces are aligned behind her to try and make it happen. And if the republicans can pull their heads out of their asses long enough to nominate someone other than phrump or lyin' ted, she is probably going to lose the general. All these "non-democrats" that you need to win the general? You know, the ones that are spit-upon because they support Bernie? They fucking hate Clinton and everything she stands for.

Personally, I will be voting for whomever our nominee is. The rest of america, not so much.
