when Nancy Pelosi mentioned she could have had Rove arrested the entire press corps laughed at her as if she was crazy.

The collective amnesia of the media and the general acceptance in DC that Republicans are the only ones who wield real power while Democrats have to ask permission and even apologize for being in power. The Washington media NEVER takes the Democrats seriously but act like everything the Republicans do is deadly serious, no matter how absurd.
