Everyone knows that no president has ever accomplished his goals without huge advantages in both houses, I mean look at Bush - Hardly anything got done at all of his agenda. Right?

Just hope hard enough and tinkerbell will come alive and Change Obama into the liberal he really is, perhaps one with more than just the figurehead position that lacks any power at all, perhaps someone with REAL power, like a congressman or something.

Tinkerbell is fading audience, send your hope, send it all.

Get ready, this makes all "buy made in USA" rules and laws illegal.

This puts corporations above the Constitution and We The People. If a corporations can't pollute your drinking water, they can tie the US up in court for years while we the tax payers pay the bill. In TN we have a Pick Tennessee group that encourages people to buy Tennessee grown produce. Pick Tennessee will become illegal under this trade deal.

A group of unelected judges who also work for corporations will decide any and all laws passed by a nation. These judges will make up a tribunal to decide what laws a country can pass.

You want minimum wage? If a corporations thinks it's unfair, then the US (we the tax payer) will have to pay that corporations for any additional expense of that minimum wage.

Obama did this in secret with ONLY corporations providing feedback.

This will destroy the sovereignty of a country and democracy.

It must also be the right thing to do,
I am told the man is always right and loves us little people (if only he had some power he WOULD help us).

He must have had to trade our laws to the corporations for something important.
He would never do anything but love us little ones, the man is a saint.

First off we don't really know what the document includes and tho we asked Mexico to be part of TPP it does not mean that we did it to increase Us/Mexico trade but maybe help increase trade between Mexico and OTHER TPP members. Its just a thought and until i see something that says it allows foreign companies to sue the US or farmers market then I simply don't buy into the hype of this post.

without regard for labor, environment, consumers, human rights or democracy.

It actually seems like the government is working for the corporations instead of for the American people.

Is this going to be the final trade deal that finally kills the American middle class for good?

It's not too late to adjust policies.

perhaps the thinking is, as always, 'where you gonna go'? You say 'seems'? I say obviously so. Now with the nut job R for cover, he can do this.
You think Romney will make this a campaign issue? Nope. If it were not campaign season, I could see far greater opposition from both sides.
Again though, the right isn't going to make this a campaign issue.
The corporate state is out in the open now. The velvet curtain falls, the fascist state feels no more need to hide.
All politicians are now bought, courts, etc. Done deal. We are on lockdown. Now its time to complete the deed.

Probably not much, since the two candidates positions are the same.

Barack Obama was clear in emphasizing, “We will not negotiate bilateral trade agreements that stop the government from protecting the environment, food safety or the health of its citizens; give greater rights to foreign investors than to US investors; require the privatization of our vital public services; or prevent developing country governments from adopting humanitarian licensing policies to improve access to life-saving medications.”

OR NOT. I know the reasons why we should re elect Obama but I don't understand how any progressive/liberal could be happy about it.

20. TAKE ACTION!

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is being negotiated in secret and the stakes for the 99% couldn't be higher. Go to www.TPP2012.com and click on TAKE ACTION today. Share Public Citizen Global Trade Watch's song parody to the tune of Jackson 5's ABC with friends and family and encourage them to take action too! Follow us @PCGTW and the hashtag #TPP2012. Together, we can STOP the TPP!

Have you heard? The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) "free trade" agreement is a stealthy policy being pressed by corporate America, a dream of the 1 percent, that in one blow could:
-offshore millions of jobs,
-free Wall Street and its banksters from oversight,
-reduce Internet freedom,
-ban policies needed to create green jobs and rebuild local economies,
-decrease access to medicine by extending drug company monopolies,
-empower corporations to attack our environmental and health safeguards, such as tobacco control and clean air and water regulations.

Closed-door talks are on-going between the U.S. and Australia, Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam; with countries like Japan and China potentially joining later. 600 corporate advisors have access to the text, while the public, Members of Congress, journalists, and civil society are excluded. And so far what we know about what's in there is very scary!

But there's still time to organize to shine a light on the horrors of the TPP and convince our governments to instead pursue policies that benefit the 99% in our countries. Watch this video and then take action by signing our petition calling for an end to secrecy in the TPP negotiations and learn more at www.TPP2012.com.

The Trans-Pacic Partnership (TPP) would create
a super-treaty which would jeopardize the
sovereignty of the nations involved by giving
their power to large corporations like Wal-Mart,
Monsanto, Goldman Sachs, Pzer, Halliburton,
Philip Morris, GE, GM, and Apple.

— There are currently 11 nations involved: US,
New Zealand, Australia, Brunei, Chile,
Malaysia, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, Mexico
and Canada. Japan has shown interest.

— The economic power of this group is more
than 40% larger than the 27- nation
European Union.

— TPP will oshore millions of good-paying
jobs to low-wage nations, undercutting
working conditions globally and
increasing unemployment.

— TPP will expand pharmaceutical monopoly
protections and institute longer patents that
will decrease access to aordable medications.

— TPP will limit food GMO labeling and allow the
import of goods that do not meet
US safety standards.

— TPP will institute SOPA, PIPA, and CISPA-like regulations and internet measures
which restrict our right to free speech.

— TPP will roll back Wall Street regulations, and prohibit bans on risky nancial services.
... unless we let them know “No Deal!”

I'm nowhere near San Diego unfortunately.

So I contacted my elected reps.

I just told them
1) We need transparency in TPP negotiations. 2) Stop the TPP.
It's a pretty easy phone call or email to make.
