(22,670 posts)for the Democratic nominee. We love HRC and we love Bernie. That's five white males who will happily be casting their vote for HRC, in case that's not abundantly clear.
We've never been polled by any of the pollsters, yet nonetheless will be making our voice heard.
Voter purging is going to be a problem for democrats. Without a doubt. We just have to make certain that as many eligible democrats are able to voice their votes come election day as possible.
And with the two party's candidates so far apart in experience and policies, there's no excuse for not running the tables on the GOP.

(8,267 posts)You mean the ones who insist that Bernie is going to insure that Trump is our next president?
They'd best get their heads out of the sand.

(2,412 posts)No, I am thinking of the establishment Democrats who really don't care about how many die in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan and maybe Iran if Hillary is elected. At some point one has to stand up against the greater Evil. And that Evil is what Hillary will do once she get the reigns of this country. Brown lives abroad matter to me. I am beyond sick to have to witness the Evil being perpetrated around the world with my hard earned tax dollars. Which candidate will cause the least deaths? It is Sanders!

(70 posts)The Party elites are looking at demographic trends that don't include income and climate effects. Income inequality and climate concerns are going to drive more voters to the polls than race and gender. The identity politics of the old guard are not playing well with people under 45 and the future of the Party are people under 45. Thomas Frank's analysis in "Listen Liberals," is somewhat flawed; however, he gets it right about the effects of income inequality and climate on young voters... It is more likely for the Democratic Party to splinter than Republicans, because there is less reason for the Democratic Party factions to adhere. The Bernie Sanders wing of this Party is being trampled and rolled over by Party elites, and societal forces of reinforcement of the status quo, the center is not holding and the Clintons' can't hold this Party together.
I don't know if Donald Trump can win but his campaign will be extremely divisive and negative. Hilary's campaign is already nasty and vicious, if her campaigning continues as it has then Hillary Clinton's election to the Presidency will be a Pyrrhic Victory for the Democratic Party. People are angry, and if West Virginia is any test of Clinton popularity in a general election, then significant parts of the electorate, Independent voters that are sick of the status quo, may make history in this election, in a very bad way for America.
