(57,936 posts)might name those who are dealing or have been dealing in the U.S. to Mexico arms market. Shame on them. It is evident to me that, whether Issa's intention or not, his acquisition of these documents might permit suspects to discover that they are the targets for investigations.
Guns have only one purpose -- to shoot something or someone. Selling arms to those who carry them into the Mexican drug wars should be criminal behavior in my opinion. If it isn't then Congress is failing at its job. (So what's new? I know.)

(32,723 posts)are internal communications between the Justice Department and the White House which are strictly administrative in nature and traditionally deemed secret. The Republicans are pulling one of those "What did the President know and when did he know it?" fishing expeditions to try to drag Obama into this non-scandal.

(9,844 posts)For me, as a resident of the state of Georgia, the highlight of the day was seeing the leading light of this state walking hand-in-hand with the REAL leader in the US House of Reps. Thank you, John Lewis and Nancy Pelosi, for your bravery and courage.

(19,458 posts)So happy to see the large crowd that walked out, and that the Caucus did not walk alone.
Issa PROMISED that his sole reason for being in DC was to take down President Obama. He has devoted millions, and countless hours to try and find SOMETHING to impeach him on. That was why they put him in that position... to destroy us. They will not destroy us or the Obama presidency.
and I really wonder if Issa's constituents care that he is not doing anything but this.

(28,394 posts)I am so proud of those democrats who stood up for the truth. And to those craven, cowardly dems who voted for the contempt citation, F.U. We will remember in November.

(459 posts)should have stayed behind. If they did they need to be voted out and a real Democrat put in that seat...

(114 posts)Not to "symbolically" walk out of every vote they didn't like. Better to stay put and put your name on the record. I have more respect for those that stayed then those that left.

(30,058 posts)This is an open disgrace of Congress, I doubt any of them read the Fortune article or perhaps they knew the truth and wanted to raise funds for the Republican party through more lies before the real story got out. What a shame.

(23 posts)California did ! They passed the majority legislation act and rendered republicans obsolete. Only a few counties have republicans. They are out of power and represent a small population. Gov Brown is doing a good job showing California what a libertarian governor would be like. Most of the libertarians and republicans don't even like it. The students hate it even more and will not vote for either of those two.

Republicans don't appreciate or simply don't CARE that the Constitution protects ALL Americans and not just the interest of Republicans.
America is not a Republican nation or a Christian nation. It is a secular nation. And for a very good reason.
The intent of the founding fathers was implicit... NO RELIGION! NONE!
The Constitution protects Republicans, Democrats, Gays, Blacks, Latinos, Christians, Muslims, Atheist, Believers, Non-Believers, Any group and Every group, and if I leave out a group, please add in a response.
And the GREATEST DANGER to the Constitution? Religion!
And isn't that IRONIC?
Republicans charge the President with attacking the Constitution. Why? Simply because the President uses the Constitution to PROTECT a group of Americans. And Republicans don't see that Presidential action as Constitutionality guaranteed.
They describe the action as an attack on the Constitution.
So, can you now see WHY Willard RMoney should never be elected?
America will have it's own Christian Brotherhood.
