(57,936 posts)We did not ask to vote last or nearly last.
We want to vote for Bernie. If you like Hillary, that's your problem. But we in California want the chance to vote for Hillary.
I'm 72, and Bernie is the best candidate for president in my life. The most decent, the most caring, the most intelligent, the best on all counts.
I want to vote for him. Should Hillary actually win at the convention and in November, I want to be among those who say "I told you so," and "It isn't my fault. I voted for Bernie" when those who vote for HER find out how bad she really is.
So, thanks for nothing. My vote here in California will count to me. It's a conscience vote.
I want my chance to vote for Bernie. My conscience demands it.

(4,341 posts)It is not over, I still believe, and hope, that the super-delegates will think hard about where they cast their vote, because the anger towards the DNC and Hillary is such that I worry people will refuse to vote for her if she 'wins' the nomination, and they don't understand that this is truly a fight for survival and the need to vote for the least of two evils because the Trump evil is much worst.
I hope California gives Sanders the win he needs and that super delegates do the patriotic thing.

(11,362 posts)The headline is seriously misleading. It's about how dysfunctional the whole primary system is.

So what if she wins. We still want our chance to vote.
If the shoe were on the other foot, Hillary supporters would feel the same way.
Let us vote in peace. Have that much respect for California voters.

(8,175 posts)I bet this year it will be higher, because of young voter and independent turnout.
If half of those are democratic, that is nine million people. If the vote goes in favor of Bernie, he could possibly gain a couple million votes on Hillary and make the race much much closer than it is now. It's even possible (although not probable) that he could surpass her in the popular vote.
I think too much is being made of the numbers before voting even happens.
Lets give the process a chance.
