I was a double offender. Served two times, both in West Africa. Mid-eighties in The Gambia, mid-nineties in Cote d'Ivoire. Water sanitation the first time, Guinea Worm Eradication (one of the Carter Center projects) the second time.

where Kennedy stood when he proposed the Peace Corps (October 14, 1960). I've stood there many times and it always makes me feel proud of how America used to be, and sad about how America is now.
