i remember in High School.. when Telestar went up, the idea of a communications satellite was a really big deal.. the granddaddy of gps technology

According to wiki the electronics were fried by radiation from nukes fired into space in the 60's.

This is one of the very few tunes that gives me 'earworm', that I Never try to banish. It takes me places. (Mid-century modern, atomic age places with lots of bikinis.)
