(15,388 posts)After all the bullshit especially in the last decade not just knocking down the right to abortion but transvaginal ultrasounds, being labeled sluts if wanting birth control in insurance plans, etc. you think they care for the right of women to vote?
It's just that the face of the party can't go along with what the so-called fringe of the party is saying.
Decent people look back in history and say, "I just can't conceive of a time when women didn't have the right to vote or when Blacks didn't have the right to vote." And in the future, "When gays didn't have the right to marry." But there will always be those who will believe that giving other people rights was the worst thing that ever happened in the country. They'll couch it in jokes - like my nephew-in-law, who jokingly offered as a clue - worst judicial decisions ever - where, "The Civil Rights Movement," was the answer in a guessing game.
They at least have to maintain a shred of appearing decent.
