(Apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein.)

Nevertheless, we are in for a crazy ride. As Bette Davis might have said, "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be bumpy four years."

My best to you, Yui.

Of all the stupid arguments they make, saying that people all the people have access to health care, emergency rooms can't deny service is one of the dumbest of them all. I know a friend who is struggling financially, and has no insurance. She has been to the emergency room three times in the past year to get care. I would imagine one of those visits cost enough to pay for insurance for a year for her.

I give up, for the first time in my life I have absolutely no faith that the future will be better than today.

Peace

I hate them and I hope they choke on that wealth, they can't take it with them???

I hope they will be haunted by their BIG mistakes.

The insurance companies used the Affordable Care Act as an excuse to raise rates. If their costs drop due to the addition of limits and caps, they aren't going to lower their rates. They are just going to make more profit.

we need to eliminate insurance companies all together, except for those that want to buy it privately.
Done.
End of story.
Just like the rest of the civilized world.
It works there, why not for us?

How did European countries largely overcome them? Or are their conservative cockroaches just hiding better over there?

Is it the propaganda machine over here?! It seems likely that the USA would have some of the best propagandists in the world given our long history with business advertisements (another kind of brainwashing), but I'm not sure.
