Megyn Kelly Moving Her Ignorance From One Sinking Ship to Another

Ever since the news broke about former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes career-long harassment and blackmailing of women, Fox powerhouse Megyn Kelly has been flirting with moving to another network. It appears that the flirtation is over and that Kelly has chosen to move to NBC, saying goodbye to Fox News‘ right-wing slant for a more centrist approach. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins and Sydney Robinson discuss this.

1. Denegrating MSNBC is playing into the hands of Trump

You may not like everything they present but we are risking having no opinions expressed outside of Trump's camp by continuing to bash what is left of our press.
The biggest problem with the far right is that they have turned off any conflicting thoughts. Are we going to act in kind?

Fox to Republicans, is MSNBS to Democrats, and both Democrats and MSNBC are too far right-of-center. It's why half of voters supported the other candidate this time, Sanders.

It is important to realize, while MSNBC supports gays, freedom of religion, and is anti-gun, and supports immigration, bring all the people in all the time, they do not represent us all economically. Worse, they consider themselves "part of the elite," not a network speaking to and keeping the establishment in line, but part of it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. MSNBC, is the "fake left." It represents an "endpoint" to the ideological spectrum, it sets the leftmost point they allow the listener/repeaters to go to, but not past. It also serves as the network that determines the "loony left," that determines which lefty policies the establishment doesn't like, which spokespeople they are to frown on, which candidates to be conspired against (pssst: Sanders, this time).

News and MSNBC are not the same. Kelly is going to the broadcast station not the cable news network. The viewership of broadcast networks exceeds that of cable networks.
Working for the largest global telecommuncations corporation in the world in terms of revenue (Comcast owns NBC-Universal) is not a "sinking ship."

3. Ring of Fire: BLM is Run By Evil Black Lesbians

IMHO, purveyors of Fake News don't have the credibility to shit on MSNBC.

I know RoF disappeared it from the website., but they never should have posted it in the first place.

Proves they don't bother fact-checking, are completely ok appealing to homophobia, and just don't give a damn about truth.

Progressives--Don’t Waste Your Money on the Group #BlackLivesMatters. They Are Actually Hurting Minority Progress

http://www.ringoffireradio.com/2015/08/progressives-dont-waste-your-money-on-blacklivesmatter/

SNIP
What is it about Bernie Sanders that threatens the leadership of BLM more than the other Democratic and Republican candidates? The answer is actually frightening.

The leaders of BLM like the status quo, unless the single focus of future equality is centered on black women; and even more so black, lesbian, women. They like racial tension over a quest for universal growth for all persons struggling, because it gives them power and a voice. This obviously is not what the vast majority of those supporting BLM believe, but it is what the leadership believes. It’s for this reason that the leadership is not standing up against members who claim to speak on their behalf and who prevent Bernie Sanders from speaking at rallies.

The present Democratic and Republican leadership will continue to promote racial divide by keeping all minorities impoverished and weak, and especially black women. Bernie wants to raise the plight of all minorities and those struggling, at the expense of the upper 1%. He is not solely focused on black women. He wants a society where people truly have opportunity; and where race, religion, sexual orientation, and other differences don’t matter. If Bernie were to succeed in this highly ambitious goal, then the leadership of BLM would not have their present power. They would lose their current identity in the movement, and the three founders are terrified of this. In fact, many times when others outside of black women have tried to help their cause and grow the message, they have become infuriated and attacked.

As the founders of BLM make clear, the movement (from their perspective) is all about black women. Anyone such as Bernie Sanders who wants to raise the plight of all struggling Americans offends them. They want the sole focus to be on them. They don’t want a peaceful movement that follows the lead of Martin Luther King, Jr. Instead, they want a militant movement that follows the lead of the Black Panther Party.

This is why Bernie frightens the leadership of BLM so much, because he is creating a huge movement of destroying the present system, which racist system gives the leaders of BLM their voice. These same leaders rather keep the status quo. If we at Ring of Fire are wrong, then we ask them to stand up and take a very strong stance against what is occuring at these rallies, and to state what their true goals are, and how we can assist them to help struggling black Americans.

As we detailed in our story earlier today, the leadership of this organization wishes to resist the type of change that Bernie and Progressives are striving to bring about for all those struggling in America, including African Americans. They don’t appreciate others who are fighting for their cause and are following in the footsteps of Martin Luther King, Jr. to make change. They want change, if any, to occur solely through the following of the Black Panthers.

SNIP
Ask yourself why they are only showing up at Progressive events, and not at Hillary or GOP events? Who are the “other Black organizers and non-Black allies and accomplices” they refer to in their press release as helping them shut down Bernie’s event? Why would they be attacking Bernie when he was the one who joined the March on Washington, which featured the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech, in 1963? He is one of only two sitting senators who can say that. Also, he is one of the only elected white officeholders who endorsed Jesse Jackson for President.

It’s pathetic that this organization, which is being supported in the grassroots by so many well intentioned people, is being hijacked by a few militant leaders who solely wish to protect their turf. Until such time as the silent majority of blacks and others stand up to these leaders, they are going to win and set peace and acceptance of minorities back decades. This is what they hope. This is what they demand. It’s the same as fanatic Muslims preventing the voice of the vast majority of true peaceful Muslims being heard. It’s the same as warmongers creating fear to make sure that peace, such as with Iran, will never occur. It’s the same as fanatic liberals supporting unworthy and hate filled people such as the leaders of #blacklivesmatters when they are not deserving of support.

We at ROF will not sit by silently and appease people we believe are wrong, even when they are part of a group that we so strongly support and want to rise up from their plight. We are going to speak the truth, and we are going to yell. Please remember we are angry at the imbalance of power and wealth in this country, and the fact that way too many are living in poverty, and without proper food, shelter and health care, when we are the richest country in the world. We are going to speak out against injustice, even when the injustice it being perpetrated by those we wish to defend.

We have been doing this since our inception, and we never are going to change.

If I was in a workplace and denigrated anyone of color, or there life style, woman, men whatever, or said disparaging remarks .

I would be brought into my bosses office and after trying to explain what happened, he would say , we have to abide by rules that protect people from you, you are here-bye requested to terminate your employment.

And they, NBC, hire a racists, just shows what they use for a business model and how they operate under a code of ethics, that are basically a joke, but if someone does it, they report it for a buck and for shareholders-------------amazing

What exactly am I missing here-----------------I know a double standard---------------called NBC and MSNBC

MSNBC provides a narrative, supposedly the "liberal side." In a sense, it is a narrative that only speaks on the social issues, and rarely speaks to the economic issues that beset so many of us. In the sense that this "Narrative" isn't the best for the entirety of the left, in a very real way, like most of the network and cable news infrastructure, it is all "fake news." At the least it's "News with holes," or "News with obfuscation."

I'd suggest TYT, or Papintano, or Hartmann, or something on the Internet, if you're looking for the left. They'll also talk about war and peace, or the negative influence of corporate money on campaigns, or money from the rich on campaigns. They'll speak about corporations and their missteps, because they don't have to avoid topics to assuage advertisers. They will speak honestly about the failures of Democrats too, not just Republicans. It would seem MSNBC has taken this policy of hands off, to democrats. You are only allowed to bash Republicans, and only on certain issues at that. If the networks agree with Republicans, which they all too frequently do, you are not allowed to bash them on that issue.

The most obvious, and biggest truth of all of this, is the long list of more liberal hosts, that let their mouths run a little too much, telling too many truths, keeping it too real. There's Olbermann, or Ratigan, Cenk Uygur, Ed Schultz who spoke out for American labor--the biggest, Donahue, who was fried, killed off by having the temerity to speak out against the Iraq War. Doesn't Donahue know those companies have direct ties to producers of the DOD? They literally fired their most popular show's host, over speaking outside of what is allowed. And by the way, he ALWAYS had more Pentagon guests, than anti-Iraq-War people on his show.

MSNBC is at best a right-of-center network. Don't be fooled into thinking they're "left." Were they "left" they would've done everything they could to get Sanders elected in the primary--instead, they installed the neo-liberal.

statement coming out of the teevee in the waiting room of the service center in Chattanooga, TN. When I heard this ..."and jesus is white, too,"

I don't watch tv. My tv is for watching DVDs or VHS tapes from long ago. When I heard this, I almost choked. I almost spit my stomach contents on the carpet. I didn't know much about Meegyn Kelly or the guests on her show or Fux Snooze, but it was a real eye-opener. Sorry for the folks who use NBC/GE/etc. for their news source. Hope you learn something other than what this sorry excuse for a "news" person presents to you each day.

For years I have been warning people that we don't have a 2 party system, we either vote for a Republican or a crazy Republican. This has happened ever since Saint Ronnie's second term when "reganites" were mad at the saint they voted in and started coming over to the Democratic Party. All this has done is slant the Left side of the "Democratic Party" to the Right. MSNBC has never been the "bastion" of the Liberal station. Because, every good liberal commentator they have ever hired was "let go (fired) for speaking their mind and it didn't matter if they were male or female- gone. We need to quit calling the Washington politicians Democrats because they are not. They are smaller big money recipients who vote their pocket book over their constituents needs. If you want to find an actual "Democrat" they were made to change their name to Progressive or Independent...

Of what, FOX? Everything is left of FOX.

See my post above. Suffice it to say, MSNBC has a long record of firing the actual left. Olbermann (an ex republican, too left), Ed Schultz, Ratigan, Cenk, Donahue, I watched them all, and was disappointed.

Check out TYT--they do honest reporting. I really like what Cenk has done with himself, and if you listen, he'll tell you the story about how he wouldn't cow-tow to the "establishment," and how they rebuked him for as he says "keeping it real." His main sin was speaking of how money corrupts the system, something MSNBC likes to pretend only happens with Republicans.

16. Shultz is a propagandist on RT now. Cenk's funded by a Republican millionaire
Sun Jan 8, 2017, 04:45 PM

Shultz went from conservative commentator to liberal commentator.

Now he's a pro-Putin commentator. You know, the guy who imprisons reporters and gays, and murders his political enemies.

Apparently Shultz is very 'flexible'.

Big fan of Shultz when he was on MSNBC. Not a fan of him now.

As to Cenk and Dore, they did a lot to depress Dem turnout by pushing conspiracy theories, effectively helping Trump win.

Sorta makes sense, as they are funded by a Republican. As Republicans go, the guy isn't horrible. But I really question Cenk's judgment:

The Young Turks Network Raises $4 Million From Former Republican Presidential Candidate
by Matt Wilstein | 1:16 pm, April 16th, 2014

<snip>

The Young Turks Network has just announced $4 million in new funding from an unlikely source: former Louisiana Governor and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Buddy Roemer. The seed money, which includes an option to go up to $8 million, came from the politician’s private equity fund Roemer, Robinson, Melville & Co., LLC.

I know she is formerly from the hated channel Fox but i do think she has done some introspection and reflection on the severely biased stuff Fox pushes out and has started to lean more toward center or more left. Fox news has the guys who sexually harass women much like the TrumpOP party based pussy grabbers.
