Just A Reminder Of What A Liberal With A Spine Looks Like.

Not wanting to feed the childish macho-man meme any more than is necessary, but there's been a lot of talk today about Trudeau being a thin, effete, delicate-looking liberal intellectual. Despite his appearance, he's as tough as nails if he needs to be.

Here is the infamous 2012 charity boxing match between rookie Liberal MP Justin Trudeau and thuggish bruiser Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau, who outweighed Trudeau by about 50 pounds of solid muscle. Trudeau beat him in the long run, and politics is ALSO a competitive sport of ENDURANCE rather than bluster. Let's remember that....and PERSIST!

Just listen to the commentary at the beginning. Boasting about how Brazeau had been in "more fights in a month than Trudeau has been in in his entire life." They really didn't expect him to win.

Or a fight I suppose... you can talk tough and act tough all you want, but you will get a reality check when that first punch lands. Conservatives tend to think that they are tougher and have a lock on toughness, but my experience is that what they have a lock on is "acting tough" rather than being tough. Liberals are not weak. We would just rather talk things through and decrease the risks of escalation rather than settle for "Ready, shoot, aim".

....Trudeau was and how well he stood up to trump's inane "immigration" policy.

Americans AND Canadians were very proud of how he carried himself, and he definitely does not appear to be "a thin, effete, delicate-looking liberal intellectual".

Thank you.

Having been in the ring in my youth I can attest that it takes some real stamina and guts to go three rounds.

as Brazeau flailed away. Hoping for a knockout in the first round, and exhausting himself in the process. Political movements are a lot like that, and so is governing. It's a good lesson for us all.
