21. I went to a town hall by my rep Blumenauer, and he said "You work on the things you can

control." He also said he was looking forward to putting sand in the gears of the R agenda wherever he could. But both he and Wyden were upbeat in their presentations, and I left their town halls feeling much more positive, thinking that is the mark of a true leader, when they leave their constituents feeling hopeful, positive and motivated in the face of so many challenges.

One woman said she felt hopeless, and Senator Wyden said he doesn't feel hopeless at all; that he has never seen such grass roots passion before. He asked how many people were at their first town hall and about half of the 3000 people raised their hands!
