Related: About this forumHere's What Democrats and Republicans 'Coming Together' REALLY Used To Look Like.
Back when Republican political leaders were not ashamed of being rational, and were not afraid of being labeled as 'traitors' for agreeing with Democrats on an issue.
Then the election of Barack Obama drove the fringe elements of their base completely over the edge, and their leaders, in an incredible act of both cowardice and opportunism, did nothing to discourage them. A mere three years later Gingrich is bowing to the mentality of the herd. Reject science. Reject economics. Reject all rational thought, and just indulge in a reckless desire to thwart the 'liberal agenda.'
