It's been very clear that there have been worse droughts in the past, including and not limited to 1956, 1938, even as far back as 1146. It's going to be hard to convince many people that somehow global climate change made those droughts worse.

Plants are recommended for our area that we've never been able to over-winter.

I fear I may have caused this phenomena. Three years ago, I planned a surprise horse-drawn sleigh ride for my family on Christmas Eve. Our family adores snow and I thought the grand kids would really be excited with a caroling ride through the park.

The first year, it rained so hard, the farmer wasn't able to get the horses/sleigh hooked up and out of the farmyard.

The second year, rain/and a little ice or sneet.

Last year, nothing. It was even too warm for winter coats.

I've given up.

...and it isn't just that it is gonna be hot. It's been hot like this since May and there hasn't been any rain.

It's awful. 91 degrees at 9:00 am.
