(6,994 posts)The Right to work law is an issue pushed by the namely the Koch Bros. The are pushing this to take out Union contractors for the purpose of bringing in "Scabs" to do the poor quality work a lower wages and to try and abolish the Davis Bacon Law that would eliminate the prevailing wage law.The Koch Brothers pushed for this law with the financial backing in Indiana,Ohio,Wisconsin and other states.
Any State that has a Republican Governor is where the Koch Brothers put their money to push this Law through.
Thank Missouri Unions for standing up fighting back and Winning!!!

(8,652 posts)I work in an office at a trade union with 6,300 members.
We have everyone working at a total wage package of $93 per hour.
We are fully employed, in fact taking in "travelers". These are tradesmen who belong to a union outside of our jurisdiction. They come to Boston and work at our wage rate from these so called right to work states (Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and such).
Funny how that works. One of the strongest union states in the country, Massachusetts, is at full employment with the highest wages. Funny how that works, ha. The economy is strongest when the most people earn a living wage with benefits to support their families.
