Related: About this forumAs Expected, Fox News Blames USS McCain Collision on Political Correctness.
As you would expect, Fox News trotted out one of their favorite oafs to blame the two collisions of two US Navy ships in the last two months on Obama and political correctness.
According to their favorite second-string ex-military shill Ralph Peters (presumably Oliver North and Allen West were off someplace polishing their bayonets), Obama forced the sailors to take so much race-relations training that they didn't have enough time left to learn how to navigate and steer a ship. Even the shit-heads who watch Fox News must be getting tired of that one....

(29,205 posts)has almost nothing to do with navigational training.
There are simple "rules of the road" to follow" and there are radar and sonar equipment to monitor (mostly radar).
There are two explanations that I can think of right now...
1) Coincident - two navy ships just happen to have negligent crews that allowed this to happen
or
2) Someone has figured out how to hack into our Navy's radar and GPS systems to give false readings to the crew.
I've heard about the possibility of the GPS being hacked or jammed, but haven't heard that the radar systems that would warn of a potential collision being hacked too.
But I am beginning to suspect that this is the case and nobody wants to spill the beans to the population at large

(5,954 posts)Unless, of course, they were willing to take one for the team to keep the real cause a secret. Same thing with the patrol boats that ended up in Iranian waters in 2016. They blamed it on human error and poor leadership.

(765 posts)You have a Light Bird Colonel, from the Army, telling us what is wrong, with the Navy. Of course Faux news, wants us to think, he knows what he is talking about. 'Fair and Balanced, you decide'.
