For 2 reasons. First because it would be entirely plausible that someone would treat a transvestite (or any "non-traditional" person) so badly. Second because the people who stood up for Jen did such a good thing.

And no it isnt the actor playing the clerk being a woman has anything to do with it, MEN, create our standards and many people follow it out of stupidity.

It might be a coincidence. But, it might be that watching these interactions on tv has made people think about acting different in their lives. Or it could be that this is what they all would have done. Hard to say.

Absolutely loved this but we have to remember this was New Jersey. Would love it if this had been filmed in the south and we got those same reactions...then I'd have a lot more confidence in our country!
